Paul is AV-rated and for many consecutive years, he has been selected for inclusion by the rating service Super Lawyers, in list for Minnesota attorneys. The list recognizes lawyers for their outstanding professional achievement. Super Lawyers selects only 5 percent of the licensed active attorneys in Minnesota.

Prior to starting Wallen-Friedman & Floyd, P.A., Paul was a founding partner at Rau & Floyd, PLLP a Minneapolis-based boutique business law firm; before that he was a shareholder at Fruth & Anthony, P.A. He also practiced corporate and business law and litigation for 3 years at Arthur Chapman. Paul served as law clerk to the Honorable C. Donald Peterson of the Minnesota Supreme Court from 1983 to 1984.

Professional Activities

Paul is President of the Minnesota State Bar Association (2023-2024). He was the President of the Hennepin County Bar Association in 2016-2017 and a past President of Minnesota Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and a past President of the Hennepin County Bar Foundation.

Paul has served as a board chair and board member for several non-profit organizations, including Shepherd's Foundation US, a Ukrainian/United States related charity.
