Diana Young Morrissey brings a background in personal injury, product liability and risk management to her current practice. She has handled matters in the state and federal courts of over 25 states and in a variety of regulatory settings. Diana negotiates and litigates tort, contract and insurance disputes, and counsels clients on regulatory, risk assessment and insurance coverage issues.
With over 30 years of litigation experience, Diana approaches client issues by seeking business solutions that avoid the expense and delays of litigation. When such solutions are not feasible, Diana pursues litigation in a cost-effective manner, strategically gauging her approach to her client’s needs and preferences.
Before joining Wallen-Friedman & Floyd, Diana helped found Sapientia Law Group. Prior to that, she practiced for over 26 years at Faegre & Benson, LLP. She served as law clerk to the Honorable John E. Simonett of the Minnesota Supreme Court from 1983 to 1984. Diana is AV-rated and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for her work in Insurance Law.
Diana is a past chair of the Insurance and Tort Law Section of the Hennepin County Bar Association and the Insurance for Members Committee of the Minnesota State Bar Association. She is also a member of the American Bar Association. Diana volunteers with Volunteer Lawyers Network (VLN) and has served as a mediator and facilitator with the Conflict Resolution Center.
